VA proj.1 Manifesto

I went back and considered different ways to show my manifesto. I remain happy with the way it was, but tyler wanted me to push the image making a little. I cut it up, stuck it on glass, and stacked it up. I hoped to bring a little more dimension to it, I think it came out pretty fun.

I think that adding dimension to the piece is a big improvement. It makes the piece more engaging. It forces the viewer to spend more time with the piece instead of just reading the content. The play of light and shadow in the piece also adds to the composition. The layering of the piece is very well constructed. I think if you redid all of your manifesto pieces like this one it would make a really strong series. A few nit picky things, some of the tentacles connect to the frame with black squares. This is a little distracting but, not much. It would be sweet if you could get the compass to turn but, I don't have any idea how to do that. It would also be nice if you could print the text on a glass too. This would add even more dimension to the piece. Over all I really enjoy this piece.
