contextual system.

Going into this I started working before even realizing what I was doing was a system. This idea of size in general was meant to come across. I wanted them to be rather serious looking but the subject actually being more light hearted, taking the three elements from before (PEZ, Godzilla, and the cityscape) and adding in one more element relating back to the setting in which these images take place. One thing I did to change it up a little is the skyline is actually the skyline of Sydney, Australia because one of PEZ's origins is Australia. Other than that the elements relate to power and the power of PEZ and Gojira.

pezilla.

domofied.

Here is Vahn's enterpetation of my original Pez photo. The image went from being rather moody and mysterious to a much more playful feeling. One could read this in a negative light considering the pez is being potreyed among giant monsters destroying a city, however the colors and the addition of the cuddly Domo character makes it much more humorous in my eyes. But in general it really speaks to the rather massive feeling of the pez in the original photo.

junior critique.

We finally had a chance to meet up early today and the conclusion we came to was pretty much the same things I had talked about with Jamie in class.

- Refining type placement
- clearing up my imagery
- switching the AIGA label back to black

I have to say that I think they got more out of it than I did. But I enjoyed helping the Juniors with their posters, I made a few suggestions that they both seemed very into, I hope they help them out and take them into consideration.

playing with greasy text.7

this was the first attempt of adding type to my photos of the un-kosher delight. I thought that the photo still looked too appealing. I decided to lower the saturation and make it look a little more gross.

suit progress.

This is to show what the collage actually looks like.

here are some test photos of my collaged suit. some possible copy could be...

- some things they do aren't kosher, but it makes your voice that much important : get out and Vote.

- Just because the candidates may not be kosher, get your opinion out there: VOTE

- Just because they could be a little mashugina, you should voice your choice. VOTE

researching the jewish voters.

1. Some shared values other than being prominently democrat, their religion, whether they be orthodox or reformed there are some aspects that remain the same. Being Jewish goes beyond being a religion and more into a culture. Food, interactions, the high holidays, all things that pull all the parts of the Jewish community together.
2. It seems from what I've found in many articles a large issue for many of the Jewish voters is what is going on in Israel, they feel that the U.S. should intervene in the conflict in Israel.

3. Hebrew writing, Hebrew symbols (i.e. star of David or Chai).

4. from what i figure there are 2 routes to reach all Jews. One is tradition which can be found with such major Jewish food companies as Manischewitz

specializing in traditional items like matzo, and sacramental wine.

The other route which tends to
appeal a lot more to me is humor. There are companies like Schmaltz brewing company who's signature item is "He-brew : The Chosen Beer" and there is the more widely known

"Hebrew National : We answer to a higher authority."

5. Well, honestly, I could not find anything saying that they don't vote. But I think that this could be geared towards Jewish Youth which in most cases is far far more reformed than their parents. I think raising voting awareness for those who just reached the voting age could be a worth while demographic.
